We try to focus on a few indicators.

First, I use this link https://covidvax.live/location/mys to track the data.

The vaccinated population

At the end of September of 2021, our government estimated that there will be 40% of the population completed their second dose.

We have 6.55 mln of residents aged between 0–18 years old who are not eligible to get their first jab yet. But our government allows 50% from 6.55 mln which is aged between 12–18 years old to get their first dose at the beginning of September.

Also, we have 5.28 mln of residents resist registering to get their first dose up to date 10/08/2021.

Good news. We have 10 mln of residents completed their second dose and 6.7 mln of residents just get their first dose up to date. I have done the dirty calculations. With 400k of the dose every day, we can have 12 mln dose every month, and every month there are 6 mln of residents who get at least their first dose. It means we can really complete the herd immunity by the end of October.

By the way, we have many illegal foreign workers who are doing “3D” (dirty, dangerous, and demeaning). With the information from the start https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2020/06/18/illegal-foreign-workers-may-be-hired-legally
